Make traditional almogrote

Learn to prepare almogrote, the traditional cheese spread from La Gomera, in our Cheese Den. With an apron, a mortar and pestle, and ingredients from our farm, you will make your own almogrote to take home, along with the recipe.
Enjoy a board of Montesdeoca cheeses and a glass of Tenerife wine during the workshop.

Celebrate on the farm
Bring your guests together for a birthday, wedding, team gathering or private celebration at Montesdeoca.
Our Cheese Den accommodates up to 70 guests, with a bar, sound system and large screen. The Mirador terrace welcomes up to 50 guests, with views towards La Gomera and Los Gigantes.

Discover farming and cheesemaking
Bring your class to meet our goats and sheep and discover the farming traditions of the Canary Islands. Students learn about milking and artisan cheesemaking, with the opportunity to see our cheesemakers at work.

Do I need to book in advance?
Yes. All tours require an advance reservation. Same-day bookings at the farm are not available.
Which languages are available?
Experiences are available in English or Spanish. Tell us your preferred language when booking.
How long does the experience last?
Farm tours last one hour. The almogrote workshop lasts one and a half hours.
Is parking available?
Yes. Free parking is available on site.
What is the cancellation policy?
A full refund is given if you cancel at least 24 hours in advance.
Can I bring my pet?
Pets are not allowed on the tour.
What should I wear?
